Yes. It reduces the risk of disease in other countries, so why not urge it here as well.

Circumcision at 2-4 days after birth is too early. It is better at the eighth day, just as God told Abraham 4100 years ago.

    I'm not sure.

    It is a personal & religious decision so the option should be on the table. CDC needs to show strong evidence that it's truly advantageous

    Well, since there is no proof that God exsists, we must use scientific data. I think urging it is ok. Doesn't mean it has to be done.

    Unfortunately, it is hard to untangle the personal beliefs (and funding sources) of advocates of circumcision from the hard science.

    The argument is dumb. As if to say ALL boys will spread disease. Comparing US to Africa? PLEASE. It is my families business-not the GOV's!

      Circumcision = Mutilation.
      Men are born with foreskins, It's the way nature intended. Removing it alters sexual response.

      Why not recommend all women get circ'ed ? OR, why not recommend people reduce their number of sexual partners to reduce infection?

          Urging doesn't mean you MUST do it; it's simply a formal recommendation. We URGE vaccinations, but not everyone does that either.
