And here I thought this was an article about Sarah Palin by it's headline.
The headline referred to "brains." Several brains. Most likely Pelosi's, Reid's and Obama's. These three brains somehow show a glimmer of vegetative awareness and constitute the current trilateral form of US government.

I thought it was about science! That said the brain is complicated so multiple tests would make sense depending on type of injury and how it was sustained. Some are too far gone to ever function again.

They failed to mention that the one significant finding of commonality found in the study is that all of those with vegetative brains were left wing democrats. Remember you heard it from me first.

if the american medical association conducted a collective mass brain scan of the entire democratic congress they would be hard pressed to find anything but a flat line.

Was it just a theory before that a vegetative person is dead... yes... the controversy that coming in and talking to patients in these situations is bad and of no use. Glad to see another house of cards collapse under bs theories, without seeking knowledge of proof.
How ridiculous is it that practically all of these news articles end up being politicized? This is about the awareness of the brain and whether what defines 'death.' Shame on you guys. We're all Americans...
