Producer Stephanie Becker was thrilled when Dr. Susan Love - a "rock star" among breast cancer experts - came on NBC Nightly News to announce the controversial new guidelines on mammograms. But even so, Becker explains, she isn't waiting until she's 50 to get hers.

I too am a young (way under 50!) woman who was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer (Triple-negative). It was found by mammogram - no other way to find it. Please, more testing will save lives, not less!
Keep checking and keep getting mammograms!!
I felt a lump while showering two weeks ago. After seeing my Ob-Gyn, she told me it was probably just a cyst and not to worry about it. I'm 48 never had a negative mammogram until this past Monday. They found 8 tumors not cysts. Now that I know where they are I can feel them. This is defintely scary. I just hope it's not cancer and not aggressive. I don't even see a breast specialist for another two weeks and at that appointment a biopsy will not be done. I have to go back for another appointment. It really scary hearing that this could kill in as little as 3 months. Good luck to you!
Always use your common sence, there are to many reports that eventually reverse themselves so, listen to your inner voice and instincts......
