I would like to introduce you to the Once Opened Beauty Expiration Kit and invite you to visit my website http://www.onceopened.com/home.htm . Ever get an eye infection or acne from old make-up? I have! Many people (especially teens!) are not aware of the effects of make-up used past its prime, a "Period after Opening" date (mandated in Europe not in the USA) or that common permanent markers are not resistant to oil and shouldn't be used to mark-up products (kit solves this problem with self-laminating labels).
The Once Opened Beauty Expiration Kit has the solution to organize your cosmetics! Kit provides 24 attractive self-laminating labels, ultra fine point permanent marker and Beauty Life Expectancy Guide to “Mark-Up Your Make-Up” with date product is opened to prevent using make-up past its prime and risking the spread of bacteria. Visit: http://www.onceopened.com
P.S. Make-up used after it has gone bad, not only risks infection but jeopardizes your good looks!

Be aware cosmetics do not "attract" bacteria. Preservatives in old cosmetics may no longer be effective vs bacteria consumers introduce - these grow to levels that can cause infection. Too bad parabens are being chased out of products - they were SAFE and effective in this regard.
Lorraine, why should I believe your claim of getting eye infection or acne due to an "expired" mascara or liquid make up? You are pushing your product therefore you are bound to make any claim in order to sell. This article is hogwash! I dare to say that this article is either a press release from your company or the cosmetic industry in order to scare us consumers into expending even more of our hard earned cash.
Where are the scientific studies, clinical research with controlled groups to prove these claims? How can you be sure it was your "expired" mascara that caused your eye infection? Could have been dirty fingers? Food allergy? Allergens in the air? What base there is to zero in on "expired" make up products?
Besides, all these products are so full of chemicals, some of the downright dangerous, that how can bacteria, mold, fungus and what not, grow in these?!?!? I have been listening to these claims since I was a child and have been using make up for over 40 years and have never had an infection in my eyes or face and I discard mascara only when is either empty, have gotten tired of it or did not like the product.
Please come up with a different marketing ploy, one that respect the intelligence of your readers.
