the planet is warming and it has been since the end of the last ice age 10,000 years ago.
Humans may be playing a contributing factor in this, but not the deciding factor

The earth has been Ice-Free several time during human existence and many more before humans, and probably is the natural state of the planet
geologic records show that the earth is most productive during "warm" periods, warm and wet is better that cold and dry, the desert southwest sustained several civilizations during the last warm periond and what we call the sahara was productive farm and grass lands
+ longer growing seasons in the northern hemisphere and milder winters
+ more and more intense rains in the tropics and in the regions of the world that suffers regular catastrophic droughts
- we lose a few coastal communities and maybe a few cities like New York, LA, Miami, DC, to rising sea levels...oh wait that's a + also
