When is the ideal age to have or adopt a first baby? For most women it is between the ages of 25 to 34 years old.

We all mature at a slightly different rate. I had my three children when I was 24, 27, 31. It worked for me, but I know mothers who had children at a much later age, who weren't ready before they were 40. I also recommend that my own children wait until later. It's different for everyone.

This may be off message, But I have to say it. Don't have kids if you are unemployed, have food stamps, or a single parent! It's a killer on us tax payers and our Country!!

Yeah, no one ever becomes pregnant and then finds out that they (or their SO) lost their job. And no man ever leaves a woman when he finds out she's pregnant. Once you reach a good point in life, no bad things will ever happen to you to knock you out of that comfort zone. /sarcasm
