I used to play tennis 4-5 times a week. Lessons, practice, tournaments, leagues, you name it. However, I would also work out with weights and cardio. The problem was that I wouldn't stop playing even when injured. I was a real nut. Result: I gave up tennis at age 48, couldn't straighten out my left leg nor walk properly for 10 years due to osteoarthritis (worn cartilage) and had a total knee replacement at age 58. Do what the article says, rest adequately and stop doing whatever exercise you do when you are injured.
yeah, eurotex, hindsight is 20/20. But I'll bet you got some great stories and some great memories! Also, the advances that have been made are pretty wonderful, even in the last 10 years.
Too much exercise can lead to injury......well, imagine that! Duh!
This is the best news I've heard since I found out that red wine was good for a woman's waistline. : ) Here's to being a sedentary red wine drinker.
