AMA,
I am getting my 4th Tattoo. I have been told by everyone not to shop price. OK, done! I am willing to pay $300 for my Skin Art. So, I found the right Artist and you know what he is going to wrap me up with? Cling Wrap and Vaseline! Wow, how ghetto! What about cross-contamination, viruses, bacteria, HIV, Hep B, Hep C....? So, I bought the Ink Health bandage and paid $5.00. My Tattoo has never healed better. When are Tattoo Artists going to adopt 19th Century healthcare, much less 21st Century? BTY, I am a Medical Doctor. Bring your child in to my office with road rash, severe skin damage and I will put Vaseline on it and wrap it with Plastic Wrap! Really! Oh, and I will charge you $300.
Clean the wound, apply a sterile bandage for not less than 12 hours, let the lymph and blood do what it is supposed to. Don't wash the Tattoo with soap and water every two hours. Why? It irritates the wound. After 12 hours wash the Tattoo with warm water and re-bandage. Guess what the ink sets better and the Tattoo healed in half the time. This is a Medical fact.
This is an awesome bandage. I will buy more even if my Tattoo Artist doesn't. www.inkhealth.com.
Why is this not regulated by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services, FDA, CDC, Federal or State governments. Bandages should be required.
