An Ohio woman claims in a lawsuit that a Pennsylvania plastic surgeon used the wrong kind of breast implants on her, then kept her knocked out longer than necessary and continued with the botched operation on the advice of her fiance.
Woman sues doc over botched boob job

Should never have gotten the booby job!
yeah, pass on the boob job, go for nipple rings. Far more appropriate in my opinion.... and much safer.
If it is not reconstruction surgery, silicone implants are not allowed.
Your are incorrect.
Yep, silicone is allowed, it is the surgeon/patient's choice IF you are over 22 years old. You may be getting it confused with the fact that silicone is only allowed in reconstructive surgery in patients under the age of 22.
Dude told the doc to just grab some sofa cushion foam or whatever....not cool.
Puhleaaaaaaaaaaaaase!
Anyone with self-estseem low enough to have a "boob" job is a boob anyway!
Not saying what the doctor did was right, but she's obviously used to dealing with these superficial types!
I have a neighbor with a boob-job. My God, they look so ugly. She just turned 50 and one hangs a couple of inches below the other and they look like little lumpy pillows. Rather unattractive to say the least! And to add insult to injury, she insists on showing off her cleavage which makes it worse. You can't stop your eyes from going there!
Should have left nature alone. If people don't appreciate you for what you are you don't need them in your life.
did you really need fake tits anyways? Maybe it's a little lesson from up stairs saying that we should be happy with the body god gave us. Find a guy who wants you for more than boob size and if you did it "just for you" then maybe you need some self esteem counseling.
Interesting.
A reputable MD would of ordered the type and size prior to surgery and had them in the OR before the surgery started.
Silicone implants are now used more often than saline. They are not just for reconstruction.
A lawsuit seems appropriate.
A refund would be more than generous. Then she would at least have a free boob job. If she wants to pay for another doctor to perform a different one, so be it. She was obviously willing to spend the money in the first place.
They are boobs; they are NOT supposed to be flotation devices. Stop the madness!
Obviously he should have had the silicone ones on hand, but I'm curious what she would have preferred him to do when he realized the problem. Sew her back up and reschedule? Wait for her to regain (painful) consciousness and pose the question? Sedate her for another couple of days while he ordered silicone implants?
Methinks she was going to sue him regardless of how he handled the mistake.
By the way, I think the title is "botched." Implanting saline instead of silicone is not the same as "botching" a surgery. That conjures images of insightly mistakes, infection, or other truly horrible consequences of surgery. I would venture to say that emotional distress also requires something a little more substantial... like having a surgery that can't be corrected.
She should of been an "informed patient" and asked if her implants were "checked and ready". You CAN NOT take anyone's word for it these days. Patients should ALWAYS ask questions and alot of them if need be. Too bad if the MD gets annoyed.
The surgery should of never started-period.There is a check off list that is used BEFORE any surgery starts and ends. This was the Md's call-he was in error.
We don't know why she was undergoing this surgery. It could of been for medical reasons. Everyone is too quick to assume it was for bigger breasts. We don't know -do we.

You're right. It was probably because she was born with insurmountable deformities, with two of the worst deformities on her chest. I'm sure she endured horrible suffering and ridicule her whole life, and it had absolutely nothing to do with being a self-serving, narcissistic sl_t, with the IQ of a rock.
Why is stupidity the norm, indeed.
Interesting how you are so quick to judge someone you don't even know to be a 'narcissistic sl-t'. I had breast augmentation and I did have a congenital deformity. But even for the women who do have augmentations solely to get larger breasts, it is their decision and their bodies. Bottom line, the surgeon was in the wrong for using the wrong implants that were agreed upon beforehand.
Typical. A surgeon, who is also running a business, delivers a faulty good and service and the people on THIS board are blaming the woman.
She had every right to walk into that office expecting implants that she'd asked for. She paid him for a specific service, he went on the advice of her boyfriend (WHAT?) and went against her desires. This is one case where a lawsuit is appropriate.
