I don't know they think they needed a study. They could have just asked my Grandmother. It's been common wisdom for a long time. You can't have a real relationship until after you figure out and get comfortable with who you are.
Been there, done that, it don't work. Who in the hell can tell me what makes a American women happy. Every freakin person I know my age, 50s, has either been divorced at least once, or still in a marriage, and miserable. But won't leave because of losing the house, the kids, the money, or theri faith won't allow it. So write that book, expert, I'll read it!
I'm not surprised... then again, these people are already in relationships.
How about doing a study where they follow around singles who "be themselves" and see how successful they are at getting a date/partner? Do they attract someone right away, or are they waiting after so many weeks/months/years? Are they satisfied with the rate at which they attract somebody? And so on.
Duh..............
If I were to be myself I would have been divorced a long time ago.
