The last time I picked up a girl my first thoughts were, could she produce the best offspring.... good to know scientific surveys back my own decision patterns.
This is by far the most useless piece of research that I have come across recently. Even the basic assumption is way off-base. It assumes that all women want the same thing (to settle down and make babies). What about women who have no intention of living their lives according to antiquated gender roles? Furthermore the basic premise negates the very obvious cultural differences in the varying populations and the ways in which people of those cultures choose a potential mate.
Whomever was responsible for making the decision to fund this and other studies based on biological determinism should really be examined and then fired.
Why not spend the money on looking for cures, vaccines, and preventions for disease?
In other research news, men prefer women with thin waists and nice racks.
Carl W, our independant research draws the same conclusion, with emphasis on big racks. :)
"...extent to which women are disgusted by cues of disease, such as sitting next to someone with open sores,..."
Whoda thunk?
The only thing a thinking woman prefers is a healthy/strong bank account/assets. End of story
