This article had me interested until they blamed allergies on global warming. Only idiots and the uninformed believe in global warming now that scientists have admitted to cooking their data.
Here in Miami, you would think we would be the first to see the effects of "Global Warming". But the opposite is true. This is not reported in the local or national news about the coldest winter EVER here. By the end of the first week of Jan 2010 we had broken 3 or 4 all time record lows. By the end of the 10th day the record was broken for the most cold days in one season. Not to mention coldest days in a row. That's a huge difference in terms of chance. But was not reported. By the end of two weeks it continues, the news stops reporting the odds of this happening increase exponentially. By the end of one straight month the odds were better to win the lottery than for this record cold weather to continue. Nothing in the news, but of course they manage to spew out some erroneous reports about global warming, right after the report of the all-time record snow fall in about 10 major cities in the NE. WOW. We are now going on 10 straight weeks of temps on average of about 15 degrees below normal. They may not be much for most areas but in South Florida the difference between winter and summer is not as great at 15 degrees. All the Iguanas have died but they are not indigenous. What bothers me is the indigenous geckos are at least 95% decimated. Global Cooling is having a huge impact on the environment and wildlife. Where's the media? Guess you would look silly reporting on events that are contrary to what you consider the "fact" of Global Warming........the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on not only the American people but the world......wow............idiots....
Yeah, all those millions of allergy sufferers must be hypochondriacs because everyone knows global warming is a hoax. All those butterflies migrating earlier in the year are just being impatient. All those polar bears dying are just playing dead. All those species going extinct are just hiding. The increase in droughts and severe weather is a figment of people’s imagination. All the thermometers whose average temperature is going up are faulty, and so are the satellites that show the same thing. All that ice melting at the two poles and glaciers all over the world is... something, I don't know, but it can't be really happening. I KNOW it isn’t happening, and no amount of evidence will ever convince me.
Global warming isnt' something man can control...take a look at history - "ice ages" & lava bubbling up creating a warmer environment have been the norms since the inception of the earth...driving around an SUV isn't going to change mother nature.
And as far as thermometers...in what part of the US do YOU live? We've had the COLDEST, SNOWIEST winter on record!!!!!!
I've never had allergies before but this week I started sneezing a lot and my nose has been really stuffy and I was thinking maybe it could be allergies. If so, boooo.
The article didn't mention Neti, the practice of rinsing your sinuses with a mild saline solution. Since I started doing it 3 yrs ago I've stopped popping antihistamines like they were candy. Now it's only on very bad days, otherwise I can go weeks without needing any. But when I tell people about it they get this "Eww" look on their faces. Too bad.
Nasopure nasal washer (invented by an America physicians) works even better than Neti pot (old invention from India). Any kind of nasal washer is better than so many drugs causing side effects like drowsiness and dry mouth. Nasal washing is nontoxic, natural and prevents viral, baterial and fungal sinus infections as well as flushing out allergens. A clear nose means a clear head and a better night sleep and fewer errors on the job - a major plus for people working in germy hospitals and responsible for people's lives. Contagens cause short staffing and spreading of drug resistant infections in hospitals. For that reason, nasal washing should be required for hospital workers if we are serious about improving health care.
I'm using NSI (nasal saline irrigation) this year for the first time. Rather than a standard neti pot, this is just a soft plastic squeeze bottle (Nasopure). The principle is the same, however. Basically, you just run saline (salt + backing powder) into one nostril and out the other.
This season feels completely different to me. Yes, it has started significantly earlier this year, but the NSI has made the season completely bearable. I use a hypotonic solution (double the body's natural salinity) in the morning and in the evening, and am symptom free for ten to twelve hours. Yeah, it was gross at first, but now I really look forward to it. I've resorted to Nasonex once in the past six weeks, and all other days I breathe freely and without many symptoms (maybe three sneezing episodes a day that quickly pass). I strongly recommend that allergy sufferers give this a shot. Thankfully I listened to several other allergy sufferers that have had similar relief.
I can't believe MSN would bother to run this story....what a bunch of bull. We've had the coldest winter I can remember in years...global warming? HA! Where the heck are you living?

I agree! The Neti works great. The people who say eww...well, their loss!
