Take years off your face-- without needles??? Kick your grown kids out!!
One of the best and cheapest exfoliant materials around in ordinary white table sugar: use it on your face and throat at the end of your shower, after your pores have been opened by the warm water of the shower. It's better to do it this way than to discover an hour later, after you've done it after washing your face in the basin and discover that you've got dried sugar in your hair!
I predict that in fifty years, boxes of sugar are going to have the warning, "For External Use Only."
You are probably right, Crotchety! I like to use raw sugar and grape seed oil, but never on my face. I never use anything on my face, especially not bar soap. Just water and a soft cleansing cloth.
My preferred exfoliant is natural sea sponges and a glycerian soap. Gave up on all those fancy or gritty products years ago. Once you begin using a natural gentle exfoliant on a regular daily basis the use of heavy gritty substances become unnecessary and actually too harsh. I have washed my face twice daily every day of my life and NEVER wear makeup to bed, it is completely removed every day. Get into a regular routine and your skin will love you for it. Many people fail to understand as we age normal hormones diminish and our skins are the first to see the signs so a regular daily cleansing is very helpful.
