While this is an interesting article, it would be nice to expand on specifics. For example, were the affected women working in carpet factories, textile mills, professional seamstresses, or in the chemical manufacture of the chemicals? Or where they wearing the fibers in their uniform? I hope there is some follow up on this.
my daughter had a shop in close quarters 6 years ago ... where she cut alot of fabric by electric knife with lint flying and she had cancer and is now recovering she is 42 years I guess anything you inhale in abundance is bad for your system...
Not amused at the least... Men get breast cancer too, you idiot. But maybe you would enjoy it if it were a male. Breast cancer is not a joke. Save your sarcasim for your own fate.
Well I'm sure chemical exposure certainly isn't good for you and it probably does increase your risk of cancer over time, not just breast cancer but other cancers as well. . I work for a small mfg. company and we had this stuff in the shop .. I think it was called MKE and it smelled like Nail Polish remover. It was very strong chemical odor and in an unconditioned shop in 80 plus degree weather you can imagine how potent it was. We had women inhaling this stuff for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for months. One of the women, an older lady, had previously had BC years earlier. Well her cancer returned and spread to her brain and she passed away. I certainly can't prove it was because of MKE but I strongly suspect it could have been. Us employees were always told the only reason it was hazardous because it was flammable. BullSh*t. If you work around any chemicals, be sure to do your own research and find out what the risks are, and then decide if they are worth it.
