Another overblown epidemic brought to you by our arrogant government overlords. Probably somewhat of a fabrication by washington to instill fear and panic, Oh thats right only republicans would do that!
And what would have been your response if the CDC had ignored the virus and it turned out to be serious? The flu is notoriously unpredictable, and when swine flu was first detected there was no way of knowing how bad it would be. It takes several months to produce vaccines, so the process had to be started as soon as possible if any was going to even have a chance of being available in time for flu season. I don't think having the vaccines available just in case is in any way unreasonable. Better to be safe than sorry!
Blame the pharmaceutical industry and their marketing arm, the CDC, for trying to sell more vaccines. Kathleen Sibelius even admitted arm-twisted the networks to downplay the hazards of vaccines in an interview with Readers Digest because science was on her side. If you examine the "science" behind vaccines, you'll find that there isn't any!
