HA!
Looks like somebody forgot to bribe Congress. Even if profits go South... Never ever forget to make your campaign contributions.
When are the doctors, who are the only ones who can prescribe these drugs, going to be held accountable for their actions? When are the people going to stop buying in to the pharmaceutical companies desire to medicate all of us to increase their bottom line? Everything changed when these companies were allowed to advertise directly to the masses. We are well on our way to becoming a completely pharmaceutical drug addicted society. These fines don't make a difference to the pharmaceutical drug cartels. It is very apparent that these companies and the doctors who prescribe their products, only care about the money to be made, not the people they destroy!
agree. I lay blame on the marketing to our society that brainwashes us to think that we need medication for every ailment. In general we all need to take more responsibility for our health. I think everyone was better off living the way we did 100 years ago. If everyone made healthy food choices, exercised and made efforts to look after their health the pharmaceutical companies wouldn't have the grip on our society they do now- between the mass ads for cholesterol, weight control, insomnia, etc... Many of these "conditions" do not NEED drugs. We have become lazy and want an easy fix. Until we stop buying into this falsehood, they will continue to medicate us into subservience.
They were fined ?81M and probably 9M will go to the people of the lawsuit according to article.
Who besides lawyers is getting other 72M ???
Heh... welcome to the conversation.
All three of us are surely going to make a difference... I can feel them shaking in their boots.
