In just a few months, three baby bobcats found in South Carolina could be a danger to a gray tabby named Zoe. But these days, the fuzzy felines are just members of the family for the nursing mother.

These animal rescue organizations deserve so much recognition all the help they can get.
Yeah, like being stupid for messing with Mother Nature!
Cliff... do you use plastic or use gasoline because those products are a result of drilling for oil which you support by buying oil based products which is messing with mother nature. You are a hypocrite and I hate you more than bobcats. I hope one eats you.
Domesticated cats seem to be SO underestimated in this day and age. They are amazing animals and if you watch them and keep them stimulated they will give you entertainment beyond anything imaginable. My little 17 pound guy is a blessing. Three years old and still very much a kitten.
I hope the Bobcats make it and that someone adopts the housecat and her kittens.
They are SO cute! I hope they make it. Aren't bob cats on the endangered list??
Sometimes, it seems animals are more humane than people. How many people do you know that would do such a helpful thing for some newly found orphans?
Sorry to burst your bubble, they can't nor can they even "seem" to be more humane than humans......because they aren't human. The animals do this because they are just plain dumb and do not know any better. smilar to the folks that place human attributes on animals.
If that cat were hungry it would eat those babbies in a heart-beat, humans on the other hand would try to go as long as possible or maybe even starve before they would eat one of their kind.
We have too many people in this world at present like yourself that do not have the intellegence to realize that critters are made for eating. We have been doing this for eons and if the world went dark due to failure of our technology, the folks that would survive are those that do not place human characteristics on animals. Those that do will most likely starve or fall prey to one of those critters.
Cliff - If you were my dad I would run away. I would rather be raised by that cat.
More proof that cats are wonderful animals. I wish I could have a cat but my landlord won't allow pets.
"The bobcats are expected to grow over the coming months to the size of large dogs — about 22 inches tall and up to 70 pounds — while their adoptive siblings will likely max out around 10 pounds."--That's pretty big for a sandheel bobcat. Does the author have a citation for those measurments?
To MINNIE HUPP: bobcats are doing quite well.
70 pounds!!! Hey, check your facts guys. The largest bobcat on record weighed 48.9 pounds (22.2 kg). Most are 16-30 pounds:

Just to let you know bobcats arent endangered to my knowledge. they are just very shy animals so they arent seen very often.
"The bobcats are expected to grow over the coming months to the size of large dogs — about 22 inches tall and up to 70 pounds"
Indeed large for a bobcat; more the size of a lynx. I am guessing the person quoted simply did not know the difference. We have become familiar with a number of bobcats over the years and never have I seen one weigh more than about 35 pounds and that would be considered rare. They are great little animals and not as scary as this article would suggest. They hunt mostly rodents and in doing so help maintain a natural balance in the wild. A fact that has been sadly lost on many of my TX neighbors who kill and trap the little guys for fun and entertainment. I can't wait until they are all over-run by the rats, mice and rabbits that will now breed willy nilly with no natural population control. Mother smiles.
I really would like to know where they got their size being akin to a "large dog" and that they would weigh 70lb.s when full grown?
I have never heard or seen a bobcat get that big.
I really love kitties. They make excellent target practice. Do any of you have some spares?
I feel this way because of all the so-called cat lovers who let their kitties run lose despite there being a leash law in our city. If folks who supposedly loved cats kept them in the house or on a leash their would not be any cats to adopt or feel sorry for.
People who claim to love cats need to have a phsycological test before being allowed to have them and stray cats should have a bounty placed on them dead-or-alive to clean-up our cities. These rotten critters crap and pee in my garden and then kill the rare songbirds in our neighborhood. All thanks to some local so-called cat lovers.
I shoot rare song birds and glue them to card board for my science fair project.
My thought is they were found under a demolished house...their mom was probably hunting for food and now is looking frantically for her babies...how sad...humane my butt...
I feel bad for the mama bobcat :(
70# ,,, The size of dogs???? Try max 30# More the size of a big Tom cat.
bobcats might get 25 pounds...70 pounds is way off...a small female cougar would be 70-80 pounds
