I want to make a comment about the afrin and nose bleeds. I am a nurse. You never ever ever ever give afrin during a nosebleed, and you never ever blow out clots that have been made. If you blow out the clots, the bleeding continues. If you use afrin the bleeding will continue, and will make the situation much worse. You will cause damage to to the membranes and capillaries in your nose. Any doctor or nurse will tell you that. If you want to stop a nose bleed, simply pinch the soft tissue on your nose and lean forward, not backwards because you aspirate on your own blood.
