This is such a great point. I know I fall into this category! I choose not to drink milk because I originally thought maybe it was upsetting my stomach. I went to Soymilk and now I just prefer the taste - but I do worry about not getting enough Vitamin D and calcium. I can tell you the best thing I have found for IBS and digestion is my Vidazorb chewable probiotic. It not only tastes good, but it helps so much when my stomach is out of whack! I hope this helps :)
STOP IT! Dairy is essential only for nursing babies. Adults need none. A balanced diet that excludes dairy provides all the nutrients a body needs. The American Dietetics Association, the governing organization for Registered Dietitions such as the source in the article, is in the pocket of the dairy industry.
If a person reacts negatively to any food, dairy included, his/her body is telling him/her to stop. Listen to your body, not an industry that profits from you ignoring what your body is telling you.
