For those of you who are looking for more weight loss tips, i recommend reading Health and Diet writer Stacie Sandler's recent weight loss report. Stacie spent four weeks testing the effects of America's newest super-food . The results were surprising. The diet plan she revealed helped many of her readers, including myself , achieved great weight loss result. I am currently on week two, i already lost 8 pounds.
The diet plan is quite easy to follow and there is no unrealistic restrictions on how you live your life. I believe this diet plan is going to be a game changer, and it won't break the bank. You can get more details of this diet plan on stacie Sandler's website. Here is the link: staciesandler.yotrendz.com
Mary, if you are "currently on week 2" and have already lost 8 lbs. you are not losing fat! You are losing water weight. This is not healthy. Losing more than about 3# per week - or less than a half pound a day - is not recommended and puts the body in a feast or famine mode wherein you virtually assure yourself of gaining back the weight you have lost or even more in many cases. That is why most people on diets fail. The human body needs the fluids you are purging during your first week or two on a diet such as the one you recommend. This is not only unhealthy for the body, it is unhealthy for the brain and the organs. Super food? They are all super, it's just the dumb people who don't know how to moderate their use of foods that are the problem.
Now, if you really want to do your body a favor, take up softball, or ice skating --- better yet hockey! --- or even just start walking. Start with a quarter mile if you are grossly overweight or out of shape, then work your way up to a mile, then two, then try running a little. Before you know it, you'll be thinking about running a mini-marathon or a half. Soon, that's not enough and you'll start focusing on qualifying for a full marathon run.
And here's the news flash ...
It has been proven that people who exercise are less likely to develop Alzheimer's and other mental disabilities. And those who take up some form of exercise, even in later life, even those who have begun to show early signs of Alzheimer's, show greatly improved cognitive ability.
So. What does this tell us? Well it says that if you get off of your fat asterisk and move your body, you not only will have a slimmer and trimmer body, your brain will be more fit as well.
Oh, yeah. And it has recenlty been shown that running is NOT bad for the lower extremities and joints nor does it contribute to the development of arthritis. In fact, it actually may be beneficial in the long run. (no pun intended)
Ach, baloney...Ronald Regan was as fit as a fiddle and he still got Alzheimer's. "Researchers" have pretty much blamed fat for everything that can possibly go wrong with a human being - totally ignoring the fact that lean people get the same diseases and die of the same things. What, you think only fat people have heart attacks? You think only fat people get diabetes? Of the 4 people I know at work who developed adult onset diabetes, only one was overweight. You think only fat people get cancer? Think of all the thin celebrities who have died of cancer and have all the money in the world at their disposal for the best treatment that money can buy. They still die. Fifteen percent of people with lung cancer have never smoked and have no other known risk for that disease. Fat, old, young, skinny, famous, powerful, holy, sinful...you're gonna get something and you're gonna die. Deal with it, people, and stop trying to find a way to avoid it. It's gonna happen to all of us!
Logic: Belly fat may cause dementia. That means it is one possible cause. There may be others. Dementia is a complex issue because the brain is a complex organ.
Sure all people die and even runners get heart attacks. That doesn't mean we should not try to be as fit and healthy as we can be. In general, fitter people live longer lives
Alright, Bill. Stop trying to use logic with the illogical. One possible cause? Really? And how many people reading that are going to absorb the sense and logic in that statement? You know most of them will cast it off because it does not fit into their cubbyholed sense of reason.
But thanks for the breath of intelligence and logic anyway.
skyjord, jpfs52, g.p. - this must be your way of saying you are stupid! Weight has nothing to do with a person's intelligence. In fact, many overweight people are highly intelligent (and would likely match your three I.Q.s combined)! The problem with the obesity issue and dementia is in certain chemical actions in the body and how the body processes various types of fats. Much as the body processes and uses HDLs and LDLs differently and to different effect in the body, the same holds true for different types of fats, some of which can create a sort of coating over brain tissue, further diminishing the brain's effectiveness. And the less the brain works, the less efficient it is, and the less it is able to work effectively.
The brain is a muscle and, just like any other muscle, if you don't use it, it can atrophy.
So, back to you three stooges ... perhaps you should start using your brains to better affect.
Southerners are obese? That is about as dumb as saying 'jackalope is ...' well I was going to say brilliant but you probably would not see the contradiction there. So let me just say, that is the stupidest thing I've seen on these boards in long, loooooong time. And I've seen some pretty stupid comments here. But yours takes the cake (which you may take into a corner somewhere and chow down).
Southerners are obese. Sorry. I just cannot even begin to wrap my brain around the idiocy that could have spawned such a concept. Are you also suggesting, by contrast, that northerners are not obese? And then, I suppose that also means I will never find anyone overweight in Canada? And how might I extrapolate from your twisted logic the weight status of people in Spain? Or France? Or Russia? Or Germany? Did you use any reason whatsoever before you hit the "Post Comment" button?
One point the article didn't make is that the inactivity that could cause the belly fat could also be a cause of dementia. The people that don't do physical excercise are probably the same people that don't do mental exercise.
WOW! Thanks for an intelligent comment, Patrick. (I was beginning to wonder!)
Yes! Physical and mental exercise are key to maintaining good mental health. Yes. Physical exercise can do as much good for the brain as mental exercise. And, with the improved oxygen flow through the brain, it has more to work with.
Drinking a lot will give you both belly fat and reduced brain mass. Wonder how many of the 733 middle aged participants were winos who were being compensated with Ripple.
Take the recently added sugars (and fructose) out of foods that never used to have much sugar content, and then I'll believe you're serious about obesity.
Campbell's tomato soup.
Green Giant green peas.
Even Morton's salt!
A well intentioned mother could feed these to her child, thinking it was wholesome food, and lose custody of the child to the state because she has "allowed" her to become obese.
It's very simple, we are being poisoned by the food manufacturers. They put chemicals in our food that keep us hungry 24/7, not to mention the spraying of fruit and vegetables with chemicals, BPH in can foods, genetically modified foods that screw with our DNA and most likely cause cancer. The more we eat the more money they make, it's pretty simple. We should starve the food manufacturers and just stop eating and with the economy going down the toilet here's your perfect opportunity to lose weight cause you just can't afford to eat.
Try passed out, it works better, passed pasted pasted passed. Greece was in bad shape, but they did lay the foundation for a modern republic, so they weren't that soused.
The Greek and Roman Empires crashed because there was lead in their water. They all simply went mad which led to excessive overeating, excessive use of alcohol which led to sexual promiscuity and sexually transmitted diseases. Syphillus was rampant, which untreated leds to mental retardation and there you have it. They ran around naked, fat, drunk and retarded. Kinda sounds like most of the country these days.
They've got it wrong dementia causes belly fat.....and since most Americans are overweight it probably means we all have dementia and dementia is linked to genetically modified foods....and genetically modified food causes belly fat. It's just a vicious circle.
all you have to do to start losing weight is stay out of the center isles at the market. Most of the foods in the center isles are crap. Most of the foods around the perimeter are fruits, vegetables, and healthier proteins, fish, and dairy (if your not allergic). All the genetically modified foods are in the center isles also. All I use is almond milk, oatmeal and whole grains, raisens, eggs, turkey, fish, fruits and veggies and I've lost 25 lbs since Xmas with very little exercise, although exercise should not be dismissed.
jpfs52, thx to technology I get a lot of exercise from my keyboard and universal remote. Man I miss the days when gas stations had attendants to pump our gas. I also miss the ding ding. I'll never complain again about gas being a dollar a gallon.
My roommate weighs 500 pounds and she is an idiot
The barrel before the horse. How do you get a hanging gut?
The dementia comes long before the ultimate beer keg belly,
by drinking 24-packs, while hanging out with social retawds!
It's all fun and games until someone gets raped by a hillbilly.
Shes the most liberal person in the world politically. She uses too much insulin on purpose so she can gorge on cake and cookies with her liberal pals
She is so weird, she refuses to use the recycling can so some reason.
so she's fat because she's a liberal, so does that mean conservatives are skinny people?
This must explain Rush Limbaugh's stupidity!

no there isn't .....
we have already known that!

OK, It's no wonder the Southern states are all Republican, and now I understand why the teabaggers act the way they do and believe what they believe.
go rebuke yourself, Jack
Southerners are obese. Deal with it dood!

I hope this study didn't cost a lot of money. The people who approved it must have huge guts.

Jeeze I hope you people don't take this @!$%# seriously.
And if that's the case all I would need to do is have tummy tuck and you could call me Einstein.
Is that why ancient Greece fell? Those people used to eat till they pasted out.
Try passed out, it works better, passed pasted pasted passed. Greece was in bad shape, but they did lay the foundation for a modern republic, so they weren't that soused.
Thx Kitty for the spelling correction. Might be because I'm a little overweight! lol My brain is a little under weight.

Nothing like being both fat and crazy.
Fat, crazy and poor!
Just what we need, another reason to discriminate against fat people.
Kory must be a fat kid.
