Considering that the areas sprayed with Agent Orange and other defoliants occurred in areas frequented by Viet Cong & NVA soldiers, not to mention US soldiers also, why do we hear only of villagers being supposedly affected by the defoliants. Were the VC & NVA immune to the effects while US soldiers and Viet villagers became affected? Obviously the NVA & VC did not then settle solely in the cities. They would have settled and lived for yrs in these sprayed areas and no mention of their health happens? I would think many of these disabled persons whom we hear of may not have had their afflictions caused by Agent Orange. There are naturally occurring toxins and genetic abnormalities in the population that may be the actual causes. I spent 4 years in Vietnam in US Army aviation & saw many disfigured and disabled people in Vietnam during the war that were not the result of US spray operations as these persons were too old and their disabilities existed before the spray campaign. Too easy to blame the US as war history normally is told by the victor, not the loser so the facts become distorted as told by the victor for the victor's benefit.
