It is nice that laws are being made with respect to physical health. It is also ridiculous to do so while mental health is an almost complete non-issue in American society. How many people even know that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children two and under have no media exposure? Not one law related to this research.
And thanks to a grotesque distortion of the ambiguous “free speech” clause of the First Amendment the internet is rife with extremely unhealthy material. But psychological damage is less easy to measure so I guess we will just become a species of physically healthy people with innumerous mental diseases. I wonder if humanity will ever progress beyond “sticks and stones”?
I guess ignorance really IS bliss!!!
