This is an idea who's time has come! Far too many dogs end up in shelters through no fault of their own because the people who take them home as puppies don't understand how the dogs will behave as adults. Dogs can't overcome their instint to do what they were bred to do- for instance, terriers chase smaller animals, Dalmations need lots of activity, French Bulldogs don't play fetch.

The better informed people are, the better choices they can make. An animal isn't a pair of shoes, and bringing a pet home is an obligation, not a fashion statement.

We have a Beagle and they are the best family dogs! They're very loving and loyal and make great companions.
