Unfortunately this is something that has been passed down and still practiced for various reasons, all of which I disagree with. The practice is unnecessary and should be stopped...
The way I look at it if if weren't supposed to be there it wouldn't be there... It's the way god created man and it's man (general term) who decided god made a mistake when he created the male foreskin... Go figure... Of course I feel the same way about boob implants, they're not natural and most don't even look good.
Teach good hygiene and most fungal/infection issues are controlled or never happen.
My son was never circumsized, and I strongly believe that it should be outlawed. It's barbaric, sadistic, and above all cruel. Some of my friends try to argue it with me, stating that he will be teased and he will have a harder love life. I sincerely belive that my son will not only be strong enough to defend himself in those situations, but he will indeed turn the tides on his would be attackers. And as far as his love life is concerned, an uncircumsized penis adds roughly an inch to total length and girth. For some reason, most women see that as a plus. The penis is an ugly organ to start with, what's a little extra skin going to hurt anything?
I was circumcised at about 2 weeks old and I remember every little cut, but then when I matured I found out that women can not resist 10 % off :)
circumcision on infants is too risky I was circumcised and it healed wrong.
americans are plainly strange that they opt for genital mutilation of their precious new born boys. the foreskin is not an abnormality, but a god given body part that is flawless and perfect. let the man decide when he is 18. the argument that it is more painfull as an adult is silly. does the childs screams not indicate pain? can the 3 day old boy articulate that they are strapped down and sliced? god you people don't deserve to have children. Luckily in europe us males are not put through this as a general rule. circumcision is an attack on male sexuality and doctors make a lot of money by performing the operations and then 'donating the foreskin'. wake up people this is sick.
I am so grateful to have found the courage to have a circumcision in my later years. Prior to the procedure, my wife would get urinary tract infections when we would have sexual intercourse. Since my circumcision (2 years) she has yet to have gotten a UTI!
I think circumcision should be done if the child wants it done. At age 12 -14, I think, they are intelligent enough to make that decision for themselves. Personally, I wish I was circumcised at an early age. I did it when I was 21, and it hurt a bit, but I am glad I did it. Personally, I think my penis, look nicer, and for sure it is cleaner. Hard as I might, going through purberty, I always had to clean myself several times each day. However, I think this procedure is something that each child should make the decision to do himself.
I think having both circumcised and uncircumcised men out there make for some variety in life. Personally, I think it's interesting and exciting to find out if the man I chose is cut or uncut. It'd be pretty boring if every man was cut or everyone was uncut. I love circumcised, and I love uncircumcised. I'm really can't pick a favourite!
And it's nothing like female genital mutilation. Those nay-sayers are obviously unaware of the benefits of circumcision. I do not agree with female circumcision. Male circumcision has benefits, for all involved. Plus, a lot of women prefer it. Some don't care or like uncircumcised, but a lot like circumcised. It looks (and is,) clean and feels good for both partners.
During intercourse with an uncircumcised penis, the penis tends to move inside the foreskin somewhat, increasing pleasure for him, but not necessarily for her. A circumcised penis doesn't have the extra skin to move in, so the entire penis moves within the canal, increasing friction and stimulation between the penis and the walls.
But in all seriousness, a penis is a penis. Boys will be boys and they will love and treasure their penis regardless. Do your research before you snip or not. They both have their benefits. But don't dwell that you made the right or wrong decision. Whatever your decision is, your baby boy will still likely live a happy, healthy, sexually satisfying life, cut or uncut.
Ladies, don't just do what daddy has. Do some research and consult others, young and old, MALE and female. Emphasis on males because they are the ones with the d*icks. Sorry ladies.
My theory: Circumcision increases intelligence by integrating infant's glans sensations with early associations of sight, sound, touch, sense of self, and thinking that would otherwise be largely delayed until adolescence. The purpose of the foreskin seems to be to create a separate state of mind beginning in adolescence, when erections exposing the glans are frequent, involving an urgency to intercourse and reward for following thru. Evolution valued making more babies over intelligence.
Here are the facts people circumcision is a positive thing on the health of a male during their lifetime. Please leave all cultural and emotional arguments at the door and just look at the facts. Besides cutting the HIV rate by 65% yes that is correct 65%, these facts are from the CDC.
Male Circumcision and Other Health Conditions
Lack of male circumcision has also been associated with sexually transmitted genital ulcer disease and chlamydia, infant urinary tract infections, penile cancer, and cervical cancer in female partners of uncircumcised men [1]. The latter two conditions are related to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Transmission of this virus is also associated with lack of male circumcision. A recent meta-analysis included 26 studies that assessed the association between male circumcision and risk for genital ulcer disease. The analysis concluded that there was a significantly lower risk for syphilis and chancroid among circumcised men, whereas the reduced risk of herpes simplex virus type 2 infection had a borderline statistical significance [4].
The numbers I saw on the CDC website ranged between 44% lower to 70%, depending on where the study was done. I also couldn't find any numbers on the actual transmission rates. All I saw was the CDC saying one thing was lower than the other. In developed countries simply using a condom would work best.
Circumcision is perfect for ruining the perfect human body and making sex less pleasurable, there is no medical facts or figures that can back it up,If there is solely for the benefit of american hospitals,Money = propaganda,Personally I would like the feeling in my cock thank you very much, and one colour.dough
The misconception about why Jews circumcise their sons is incredible. We are commanded to do so in our laws by G-d. It is a physical demonstration of our contract with G-d - our covenant. There are 613 precepts in the bible for Jews to follow and this is one of them but there are only ten for non-jews. Circumcision is only mandated for Jewish males - both born and if they choose to become Jews converts. Now understand that we are fewer in number than 20,000,000 in total. So if you are born to a Jewish Mother it is entirely likely that this decision has been made for you as your parents will desire that you enter and continue the covenant - beginning and end of story. It was not done for health reasons or indeed any other rational reasons. We as jews wonder why others follow our lead - they don't need to do so on our account - for everyone else it is a debatable issue, for us we wonder why some members of the nations choose to do so. Please don't include us in your reasons - we know or we should know exactly why we are doing it to our sons.
