What's going to be next. When you start killing people in hospitals and rehab centers, work places, churches, restaurants, and just plain walking down the streets, you have to wonder if there's any place in the world where you're safe anymore. In China, they had several incidents recently of grown men attacking kindergarten children with knives, in Britain just about a week ago, a man killed about a dozen people while driving around in his cab and periodically stopping to shoot people on the streets, and we all know the American mass murderers seem to like schools and work places. We live in a world gone mad.
If MSNBC wanted to it could publish stories such as these on virtually a daily basis since in Mexico, this is business as usual. All this transpires without so much as a peep from Calderon but let a border agent try to keep his head from being bashed in by a rock throwing crowd and he becomes indignant.
Calderon spends more of his time being concerned about what’s going on in the US than what’s going on in his own country.
where are the supporters of Mexico that blame us for their problems

One can only hope that all of the people that live within a reasonably close proximity to the Mexican border are adequately armed at all times. They can depend on no one for insuring their personal safety but themselves.
I live in Mexico and people here know why these killings go on in rehab centers. It's not done randomly or to be cruel to the innocent. People involved in the drug trade who want to either get out or hide out think they can do so in the rehab centers.

One of the leaders (the head of I.C.E.) is very busy right now, haven't you heard? For one he isn't sure he'll even take any illegals Arizona happens to arrest, but if he decides to. He's been busy setting up movie night, bingo, art & dance classes as well as having hanging plants and fresh fruit and veggies for them. Also unlimited free phone calls and cable t.v.
As you know we need to make them as comfortable as possible so they will be back real soon to live, ( I mean visit.) I guess I was just stupid to thank a deportation center should be a deterrent and not one big party. Oh I almost forgot the best part the taxpayers get to fund all this. We sure are lucky! LoL

Isn't it amazing that all of this violence in Mexico and on such a large scale has little or no affect on the populace. There seems to be no sense of outrage or intention to rise in revolt, go after these thugs and prosecute. None, nada. Is the nation that bankrupt morally, spiritually and financially? Mexico has definitely become a place where violence or threat of violence controls everything. There is no fear of prosecution. It's an allegory of what goes on in the Middle East with Islam........control of the masses.
John, After reading your comment, I have two problems: Will you join me in asking AP why they are so good at only reporting part of the story? Where in their many stories about drug violence do they find out who the victims are? Mexico is not the Middle East. I live in Mexico in the state of Guanajuato. We don't have drug crime, or practically any other kind either. We don't express outrage becaause we experience no ill effects. Where is your profound outrage about black on black crime in US?

First, I don't care what part of this world you live in; illegal drug usage brings in profit, so it more than likely does exist. Might no be as bad as by the border towns, but neverteless it exists. Illegal drugs cause a strict chain reaction that is desired by those who profit from it- At first it is only a hook, but that progresses into addiction, which leads to empoberishment, which leads to crimes. therefore, I don't believe that Guanajuato is totally excempt from such problems.
Second, how can such problem not be as bad as by the border towns? Well, that's because Guanajuato is approximately 1,300 miles away from the closest U.S. border spot; that fact alone wouldn't make it profitable for this illegal business to set shop so far away, unless it is only for command and control purposes.
Judged by your comments, I think you are about 15 or 16 years old. Just guessing.
Mexico is outraged over the shooting of a teen that attacks U.S. border patrol agents yet it only shakes it fist at these drug cartels. They wonder why we do not want their trash in our country. Want to come to the U.S., then come legally. If you want to come illegally, you put your life in your hands. If you want to make a change, try staying and fighting for your country and drive these drug cartels out. Stand up and make a change rather than running from your problems and expecting someone else to take care of it for you.
Guess you're ok with the oil spill in the gulf, you might also be ok with people killing their children and their girlfriends, or are you standing and making a change about it, you're kinda lonely there aren't ya, yeah, how about finding out your neighbor got kill last week for standing up against it, would you do it? be honest!! Let's see...the good old USA has given Mexico millions of dollars to fight drugs plus the tools, vehicles, weapons, helicopters etc..... on and on...... to fight drugs and the drug cartels, yet they operate freely, can kill and leave 55 people (that no-one dares miss,) in an abandoned silver mine and there is no public outrage in Mexico. The people there too fearful to say a word. Wow Mr Calderon you must be part of the problem....sounds like a Wolf in Sheep clothing.....controlled by the cartels!
If the Mexican government is serious about putting an end to the violent drug gangs it must get down to basics, kill more of them than they kill of yours. If there are more law abiding Mexicans the drug gangs will run out of people first. Simple war of attrition. Almost as efficient a way to deal with excess population as sending them to the US!

I will say of Mexico what I said about Gazans: All men of fighting age should organize, pick up a weapon, any kind, and overwhelm the culprits. In both cases, the general population greatly outnumbers the evil doers, so great in fact that the ratio of good persons versus bad would easily be 500:1.
So what if half of the good people die. Many many more die on a monthly basis anyway. If they don't do this, it's because they, more than being fearful of them, are for them. This might sound familiar- Mexico's chickens have come to roost!

could it be time to stop the 'war on drugs' many studies say its a failure anyway what the drug war has done successfully in mexico is create violent gangs, murderous drug lords with unlimited money and weaponry. Drugs should be legalized. Users need only pick up their drugs from dealers on the Mexican side of the border.

The only good I see coming out of the violence in mexico is that there will be less Illegals that will try to get in the US

You know what sucks, is people will stand up and protest here in the US over stupid sh*t, but dont have the huevos to protest the violence over there. Screw Arizona RAZA!! BOYCOTT MEXICO, we need to force change in Mexico, so that people can live beautiful lives there. Not forced to come here and fight for a living, but earn a living there. Mexico needs a revolution, a real revolution, from the ground up. Its too late for hope and change there, they need Marines. They need help.
