Health Care was passed and signed. If Obama couldn't make this a part of the 2700-page bill, then HE screwed up! WHERE are his cuts?

The GOP wants spending cuts? Let's START with cutting THEIR pay AND benefits! HMO's for all of them (with needed referrals) and a 30% pay cut.

...AND..... no fancy meals in Washington. Put in a SUBWAY restaurant.

This is typical barack bulls**t. HE knowingly created this mess. HE purposefully excluded this multi-billion dollar debacle from Obamacare because if it had been included the real cost of national healthcare would have killed the deal. Americans were warned and told about this for months. The gutless, state controlled mainstream media avoided ever confronting this issue so a larger portion of taxpayers and MediCare beneficiaries would have known the truth about ObamaCare. Now that the "chickens are about to come home to roost" the messiah wants to put the blame on Congress to fix this before it explodes into a crisis larger than the BP oil spill. This guy is a spineless, gutless, lying bum. When are the lights going to go on America? Barack Obama is not to be trusted to be in charge of our government and our lives.

Hey, CCHUCK, there are far more Democrats in Congress than members of the GOP. Are you proposing 2 separate pay scales and benefits packages for Congress. One for the guys that you don't like and one for the guys that are as dumb as you?

It is NOT cuts that need to be made...it is a system that needs to be checked for double payments. It is a system that needs to be regulated for doing the BEST job w/o duplication. It is a system that allows the plan to work for the utmost production maximixed and not repeated by another source as a follow-up or an addition to program.

Examples: A doctor wants to run a test. The patient has a complaint. Instead of sending that patient home still having that complaint. Run the tests. Finish the job the first time.

Each time the patient returns with the SAME issue, the office charge is repeated. The doctor spends time again going through the same motions. A 75 year old woman went to the HPO Welcare doctor complaining of pain ever year for the past four years. The Wellcare doctor gets a bonus for NOT creating more costs. The patient is still in pain and has to return to a doctor that has no intention of forwarding that patient up one more level and eliminating the repeat practice of sending the woman home again in pain.

Now, if the system designated that for each time that a patient sees the doctor, the doctor would actually "listen" to the patient..and get the patient to move up the system into fixing the problem. Patient "fixed" and moved out of the system with that problem....not pacified and recycled back in to the same old scenario, one more time.

The Wellcare doctor will not refer this patient to a specialist. Not cost-effective for the corporation and the stock-holders. The patient only has increased pain affecting more areas of the body as she manages to care for her grandchildren...and her dying husband.

Hospice comes into nursing homes...now, to do the job that should be done by professional staff already in place in a nursing home. Hospice charges thousands of dollars per month back to Medicare for this service! This is a business that grew because it saw a slot to jump into and put out the paperwork under "non-profit" status. Your taxpaying dollars foot this luxury.

Nursing homes have qualified nurses that can very well do the same job along with a qualified doctor on staff. Yet, the system has now opened up for a business that claims it can ONLY fulfill that need.

Nursing homes...and assisted-living facilities hire contracted doctors to come in and see the patients. Again, at a high-rate per visit cost which Medicare pays for.

It may just be "me" in my own quirky mind...but picking on the one profession, where I see this occur...brings up a RED flag.....double-billing from some doctors. I have lived in several states...and done work for others in helping to manage medical bills....and the bills from DPM's keep coming again and again...even though they were paid in the office before even seeing the doctor. Another game of doctors handing billing over to outside parties that bill w/o checking files.

Cut the expenses where they need to be fixed..not the benefits...that help the patient. The costs are in other areas of repeating the same thing over again...and not doing the job right the first time.

I have a vehicle that was purchased new. W/i 13 months, the vehicle was in the "shop" 15x's. The vehicle has a recall on it...that recall issue has never been repaired. The dealership is either "blind" or thinks the consumer is stupid?

I pursued way beyond where most humans go into "digging" and causing people to itch. The vehicle will be re-purchased by the manufacturer w/i hours of this blog. If, the dealer had been honest...in the beginning...they would have assisted with notifying the manufacturer on an issue after at least the fifth repair.

They did not. They wanted to just let the problem slide. The manufacturer certainly did not know that they were dealing with a "bug" that bites and does not let go, till someone cries "ouch".

Fix the real problems...good health care exists when patients get "fixed"...not by sending them home in pain...because it is NOT cost effective to the insurance company to back up the needed tests. Fix the problem the first time...and the patient stays home...and heals.

Let the patient go out the door in pain...and they just roll around and come back in the door again, with the same complaint.....and then the billing gets sent out again and again.

Why in the world, would you bill a patient that is required to pay at the front desk, for co-pay when they come into see the doctor? The problems come down to a good lack of common sense...so many people just do not care.

As they cut, more and more Doctors could stop accepting medicare amounts.

I agree, this keeps going up, the medicare part B, and they also raise the deductible that you have to pay before medicare will begin to pay.
