Hope this helps. It doesn't sound good. Ten to thirty minutes after ingestion, symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and tingling or burning lips, gums, tongue, face, neck, arms, legs, and toes.Shortness of breath, dry mouth, a choking feeling, confused or slurred speech, and lack of coordination are also possible.
Thanks. I'm going to Alaska soon (tomorrow!), and I don't have any plans on what I'm going to eat, but I just wanted to be aware of what to look for if anything should be out of sorts. Of course, these things can happen anywhere within our food industry, but it's just better to be informed. Thanks again, Warchief.
Does anyone know what symptoms present with paralytic shellfish poisoning? I read the part about the tingling lips, what else should one look for?
