While I hate the thought of a child being hurt, we have to keep in mind that dogs attack and kill far more people than coyotes (only one confirmed coyote kill in America). I feel sympathy for the long despised and hunted coyote and believe it's time we give this intelligent symbol of American self-sufficiency the respect it deserves.
