Obesity is the new modern plague. Obesity will kill more people and cost developing nations more over the next ten years. There will more seniors on oxygen and riding cart or both in the next decade. Its sad because everyone can do something about it but chose not too. If heart diease or diabetes doesn't kill them first, then cancer will be just around the corner. When you over weight you run you immune system down with allow bad cells to generate, which of course leads to cancer. I just don't get it, every health expert tells people that are obese to lose the weight or pay for it later, and it just seems that people rather pay for it later. The worst of the bunch are the ones that ask for help after gaining 300 pounds. People it simple, calories in, calories out, you control that by what you eat and exercise. Try it for a year and you will see the difference.
As with many other issues we face in our society, people just want what feels good now, forget the consequences. On top of that, most are also in denial, they blame it on being "big boned" not fat!! No one wants to face reality, they prefer to live in lala land!
Our western diet is the only thing we have to export. Long live Mc Donalds. From the land of the fat and the home of the big let freedom ring.
