Humans who never lose anything never gain anything from the experience.
No singular spirit in this world is any less unique so besides muting their personal humanity they are ignoring the value of those other lives that these (roughly $20k ) processes dismiss as being of no concern.
We need to experience new to grow. Keeping the old for the joy of nostalgia....how much this world would not exist if this was even remotely true.
Shame on the waste of money this tailors itself to. The "unique spirit" of the creature is an evolution of its experience and so , since we cannot guarantee this recreation of events because of the "butterfly effect" this supposed copy is a failure and a basis of self delusion, let them go to other lives that exist already.
The pit bull breeds were designer animals too...now we use that explanation to justify exterminating them...how valuable is a second hand cat that is less than perfect match for what the owners wanted and paid for...incinerator stocks will soar if this industry leaves any lasting impression...how soon until we clone other "children" while we allow perpetuation of uncontrolled population growth...which is also justified on a platform of individual rights over society need?!
This is a an industry run by rich to serve rich and will not reward the common animals or humans. A sad delusion and not a worthy use of life and gifts given. Wouldn't they just justify making 7 clones of the beloved "unique" pet if they cared so much...before it died? How ignorant to suggest it matters so much, one animal, but not to think of the detraction this brings for it or the proof that we lie to ourselves if we wait until death to bring more wonderful copies as soon as we can pay for them....why lie and say it is a continuing proof of love....just bankrupt yourselves but be happily surrounded by the copies now....if you really love them so badly? by the way if you proved your love by that...it WILL change their personality toward you....animals can be wiser and smarter than some humans where personal relations are concerned.
