I was born a carrott top as red as it gets. When i turned school age my hair was as blonde almost 'albino',it is now turning a darker color but still blonde, and i "DO GET THE MEN AS A RULE WITHIN MINUTES OF ARRIVAL".!!! I'M NOT BRAGING,BUT THE TRUTH HURTS!!!I'm not into other womens men, infact i hate 'CHEATERS'!!! i;d Bobbitize the 'cheat' in a second and then call his wife and let 'her' go find 'WHATS MISSING",LOL.All it does is cause is a lot of unneeded stress, and tearing up families..!!!!
Perhaps you do get all the men within minutes of arrival. But, you can't spell "bragging," you have horrid punctuation, and we brunnettes keep the men after more than a few minutes.
With all due respect to redheads...As a man, nothing is more sexy than an exotic darkhaired woman...Italian, Greek, or Latin ...They are sexiest in the world and IMO the most passionate...I've been with redheads in the past and agree they are passionate, but not in the manner that this article portrays...
I'm a natural blonde who CHOOSES to color her hair red or auburn, as the case may be. To think that red hair is a DNA MUTATION??? PLUEEEEEZE! Call me a mutant, I DON'T CARE! I LOVE my "rojo" hair!!!!
So what if my brunette hair turned white before I was 30?? Am I a blonde now or a brunette with white hair? BTW - "old" is not a response. First white showed up at the ripe old age of 19!!
Great answer. I'm a redhead also, and really fed up with how many people think they can comment EITHER way on if they do or don't like red hair. I can't even guess how many people had to tell me their feelings one way or the other (most men love my hair, for the record) and those that do not? SO WHAT???????????????
Aside from the medically factual information, the studies and conclusions of this article ARE STUPID! What is the next article going to be, justification for being a racist? Don't make fun, because this article is exactly that dumb.
Then why are you reading it and commenting on it? Not every article is supposed to be hardcore news - sometimes it's on the lighter side. Wow...you went from an article on hair color to justification for racism?! Are you also one of those people who assumes a homosexual's next step is pedophilia and then bestiality?
As one who is using hyperbole right in your own post, you should have read it in mine. The point is also true. If I make some dumb justification as to why white people have more of X, then it is racism. But saying red heads are more sexually active based on ZERO science is not the same thing? It is, and yes, it is why it is exactly that dumb.
LOL-ing redhead here! Thanks for the good laugh out loud! Needed it! Just got off the phone with friends in New Orleans with a heavy heart and there it was - Post #8! Thanks!
Generally, black hair is considered brunette- most shades of black are really just a very dark brown, and when lightened fade to light brownish tones, which eventually fade to red.
The thing about the article that is true is the fact that Blonds get Malignant Melanome more often than others. Still in the middle of fighting it out with that stuff, winning though. I love these vines and all the different views of the posters. Keep it up everybody.
This article is very apt! My husband is a redhead (tall, too :) and very, very passionate. Inside and outside the bedroom :D Don't know about the hair loss; so far so good for this brunette.
My hair is dark brown with reddish tones that are only visible in the sun, as my grandmother was a redhead, so I am not sure where I fall. The article claims brunettes have thick, coarse hair, yet mine is soft and fine. I was also blonde as a baby before my hair turned brown. I guess the message in this article is to take care of your body, your health, and your hair, regardless of its color.
With all due respect to redheads...As a man, nothing is more sexy that a darkhaired woman...Italian, Greek, or Latin ...They are sexiest and IMO the most passionate...I've been with redheads in the past and agree they are passionate, but not in the manner that this article portrays...
For one thing - carrot tops are green not red!! As a red headed woman (born with it), I have had a hard time finding a man and the reason, they don't like red heads. Many of them think we have too bad of a temper or because we cannot be out in the sun. I found out red heads are smart, independent thinkers and we are unique!!
Everyone is different, we are all individuals; I don't know if your comment is based on personal experience, but there are lots of men who like redheads.
I find all kinds of women attractive, but I've always had a soft spot for redheads, because I was in love with a pretty redhead many years ago. Unfortunately, she didn't feel the same way about me! I also arranged a date with another pretty redhead once and she stood me up! Never mind.
As for redheads being temperamental, well I think that is silly stereotyping. I've known blondes and brunettes who were bad tempered. The redheaded girl I loved had quite a warm and friendly nature. I was also interested to read that many men think blondes are unreliable as partners. Again, silly stereotyping; there are brunettes and redheads who would be unreliable, and there are lots of men who would be unreliable too!
How sophmoric everybody seems. Almost all women have something that makes them sexy, and thus passionate! (Based on years of extensive field research.) Unless they let themselves get fat. But I guess some guys are into that as well.
The assumptions that people make about women and their hair color is as shallow and stupid as the women who try to live down to said assumptions. At least this article was attempting to discuss actual problems relating to genetic mutations that are scientifically associated with a person's *actual hair color.
Have you ever stopped to think that maybe this is a generalization and not something to get your feathers ruffled about?
Everyone's personal preference is different. There is no need though, to say that people smell bad due to hair color or that any hair color on a girl will make them any sluttier/sexually oriented than anyone else.
Wow, try stepping away from the computer for a bit and hanging out with living, breathing human beings and you might find that it really was just meant to be an article with lesser known scientific facts about our hair color. Shocker.....I am so upset by this, I think I might have to go blog about it! Buahahahahahahahaha
skmc, you sound like the monitor of miss spelled words.this article was a little junkit that was trying to send people a message, and all people are worried about the 'SPELLING"!!!!

Most women dye their hair. I guess, the article is about what Clairol color men are most interested in.
hell yeah it is.
This is so funny. I guess this is your version of Phrenology.
Do you know that about 2 billion people in the world has hair in varying degree of brunette to black hair? How could you generalize those people?
It's a lot more than that.
not really @!$%#ing dumb ass.
Uh, I'll pass on the gingers. No thanks. Next.
You're stupid.
Scared much? Cheers :)
@!$%# @!$%# @!$%# @!$%# you guys in the @!$%#ing ass

Derek, you're an idiot.
Kimber D - you might want to look up hyperbole in the dictionary - and a clue, it is spelled just like it's spelled.
LOL-ing redhead here! Thanks for the good laugh out loud! Needed it! Just got off the phone with friends in New Orleans with a heavy heart and there it was - Post #8! Thanks!
@!$%# you
what about black haired people or don't they count?
Generally, black hair is considered brunette- most shades of black are really just a very dark brown, and when lightened fade to light brownish tones, which eventually fade to red.
most shades of black are really just a very dark brown ... unless you're of African descent!
Mmm, nothing better than orange hair and freckles. Pale skin, translucent eyelashes. Love it!
You and the Grinch should make fine friends Seth. Do make fun of people with cancer too?

They left out Gillian Anderson from X-files, she is beyond beautiful!

chth...
I agree...
chth,

It all depends on the individual.
I've always liked red/auburn hair. It's like autumn in Vermont.
Dairy cows?
Maple Trees.
I like black haired women. They are the rarest of the rare in America though.
How sophmoric everybody seems. Almost all women have something that makes them sexy, and thus passionate! (Based on years of extensive field research.) Unless they let themselves get fat. But I guess some guys are into that as well.

What about black hair...anyone?
So I'm to assume there is nothing to say about the silver foxes (who have had white hair since our 20s)
Wow. You guys are cool.
Have you ever stopped to think that maybe this is a generalization and not something to get your feathers ruffled about?
Everyone's personal preference is different. There is no need though, to say that people smell bad due to hair color or that any hair color on a girl will make them any sluttier/sexually oriented than anyone else.
Geez. Talk about maturity.
