I think I have a good solution: eat one small serving of a variety of foods at Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Push yourself away from the table. Wait one hour and go for a walk.
Oh, by the way, I have lost 166 pounds doing this in the past 10 years or so.
Why put more pills in our systems that are probably already overtaxed by too many pills?
Why would someone want to take a pill that stops convulsions for losing weight? The people in the pharma world never cease to amaze and amuse me.
Weight loss medication has failed on many occasions as it is used as the only thing while the person fails to change their lifestyle to sustain the weight loss. If it is used, it can only be used as what it is, a tool in an arsenal of weapons including a lot of exercise (need to be honest with people that 30 minutes per day of exercise is simply NOT enough- the more the better with 6-8 hours per day ideal). The arsenal also needs a total alteration of the focus in life; set up exercise equipment in front of the TV and substitute couch time with exercise and keep visiting/spending time with family. Also needed; a regard for food only as simple sustinance, no more desire for social eating or eating cravings. Food must be seen as a tool and thought of only as a means to keep fuel in the machine; nothing more.
Medication can help with this change and alteration of perception; it helped me at one time. Sadly, because of a second pregnancy I was seen as a "failure" on medication as the baby weight came back on, so now this tool is no longer available to me. With PCOS, thyroid, and a very painful nerve condition, I know what I need to do in order to get healthy but convincing myself to give up food as any sort of pleasure is proving more difficult than it was before!
Anyone who thinks a medication is a "magic bullet" is sadly dilusional....
I think at this rate, how obese/overweight people are always thrown in the spot light, they'll do anything to get that light off of them and stay thin (me included.) I've decided that I should consider the tape worm diet. Avoid the manufactured synthetic drugs and go ahead and use a 100% all natural parasite.
