Why not legalize Medical Marijuana? It's certainly less toxic to your body than any alternatives, no real hazardous side effects other than the same as for alcohol (don't drive or operate machinery).

It doesn't require any pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers to grow. It can be taxed for local, state and federal gov't and the big Tobacco companies could switch over their processes and machinery easy enough to make it a win-win all the way around. I say legalize it anyway for all and take the crime element out of it all together. Just smoke Responsibly.
