my mother was given avandia by her gp in pershore , uk ; the gp's name is dr. ralphs at abbottswood medical centre . nobody in my mum's family have ever died of any heart problems ; in fact her mum and dad lived well into their eighties and ninetied respectively . my mum was extremely healthy and strong until her previous gp. dr. lewis , gave her over doses of pills for fluid retention during her menopause , but they caused severe aneamia and diabetis type -2. she suffered from extreme ameamia from then on ( the doctors simply gave her iron tablets but iron can't be absorbed into the blood in tablet form ( it has to in liquid form ) . her gp , dr. ralphs at abbottswood medical centre continued to give her the drugs that gave her severe aneamia and diabetis-type-2 ; she was also given avandia ; she was extremely strong before all this . she died very , very suddenly , very , very unexpectedly on 17th may this year and i will never recocer from her death , nor will any of our family or her friends ; it wasn't her time "to go" - we all believe avandia caused her death - we have photos of her a few weeks before she died and you can see easily the side-effects in her face , hands and stomach. she gained a stone and a half in the last year of her life despite not eating very much . it was all fluid as we saw her in her coffin - she was tiny - none of her weight was fat - we have photos of how she looked just before she died and how she looked before the doctor gave her avandia . i will never , never get over this . thank you so much for caring about the trail of extreme pain glaxosmithkline has keft behind them - i wish all the lawyers in the usa all the luck for putting this company were it belongs - in a coffin also - but we all know this won't happen , but maybe something can be done to stop this company making billions of £'s out of experimentary science on an innocent human population . i'm british and this company is british and i'm completely ashamed - nothing is on the news here about avandia . i'm so deeply grateful to american lawyers who do pursue this company. thank you so much ; i wish you all the luck . nothing at all will bring my mother back but i want to join the american lawyers who are trying to bring justice to all the families who've lost loved ones through this awful drug - my mum was of really strong welsh stock - none of her family were ill - they never had any serious health problems at all - my anger and despair will never leave me or my two sisters , or my mum's sister . the despair left behind is indescribable.
