40 million doses of the vaccine were recently destroyed with another 30 million to soon follow because they are past their expiration date. Basically they weren't used because nobody wanted them and nobody needed them. This Pandemic was mainly media hype looking for a good fear story. Yes, people got sick. Yes, people died. Modern travel is what helped spread this flu around the world so fast, not the fact that it was so dangerous. I don't know anyone that got sick with swine flu. Certainly no one I know died from it. No one will grow up and hear stories told by their parents of how their grandparents feared the swine flu like I heard my mother tell about my grandmother fearing the 1918 flu. Travel is what makes these things dangerous. Maybe there was a reason countries used to have keep to themselves and have their own languages and cultures. Today the whole world is a melting pot. Oops!

your youth and immaturity is certainly demonstrated by your comments above. Ignorance like this is what causes humanity to ignor warning signs of possible pandemic diseases spreading and causing massive illness. i applaud the WHO and their efforts to thwart H1N1. i do know folks who got sick from H1N1. A few of which were very serious. One friend of mine had a daughter who was VERY sick. She survived, but it was touch and go for awhile. I'm sure if this had been a relative of yours, your attitude toward this whole process would be different. So H1N1 didn't kill millions, isn't that a good thing. Isn't it better that we were all made aware of the situation rather than be kept in the dark. Perhaps you would rather have a government controlled media who only publish thoughts and ideas allowed by the gov't leaders.

i think its people like you who are bitching the very second something like this comes along and we're not made aware of it. you're the kind who offer the comments like "where was the government in all of this" "how come they aren't taking care of us?" you just like to bitch about something. i say whatever to you. i'm glad we were at least made aware and kept informed. i'm glad that TOO much vaccine was made rather than not enough.
