There were seven cases in as many years, none of them appear to have resulted in fatalities. Drugs are tested extremely thoroughly. That's the reason they cost so much. People want lower prices and better testing -- who should pay for that?
Drugs' side effects often do not get reported until they have been in use for months of years and used in a large population. It would be counter-productive to hold them out until all side effects were discovered. Aspirin might not get FDA approval nowdays. There are a lot of observant people in the medical field who report side effects of drugs that were not found by the researchers who first tried the drugs investigationally. ALL drugs have side effects, no matter how rare. There are risks of taking anything into our bodies, even food and water.
nuts. take patients sputum spread on culture medium in 3 petrie dish's grow in fridge for seven days. put under microscope what is it growing? how much has grown in seven days? divide wax in dish's in quarters place 1 antifungal, 1 gram negative antibiotic , 1 gram positive antibiotic. etc.. and leave one quarter with nothing. place back in fridge for 3 days. look again under microscope. which medications works? which makes infection worse? people should not be used as test subjects that is what cultures are for. Doctors should first do no harm! They have been killing people and i believe with intention. read about jd rockefeller and the American Medical Association.
also the article did not mention oxygen setting patient's were prescibed. Oxygen will cause damage to the lungs if setting is too high. the article did mention for doctors to watch for fevers, cough and in most patients fevers and cough already present hence the assumption of antibiotic needed. bottom line use cultures find a good lab with experts that are not overworked and can be trusted. hospitals used to have great labs onsite with full time employees for all three shifts that did not travel to other hospitals they were assigned to only one location. the same thing for the nurses and doctors. in many hospitals now they all have pagers and schedules sending them to many different hospitals in one day which is wrong. the hospitals were non profit and built by donations an operated by the physicians then the physicians died and the business men stole the buildings and property and turned the hospitals in to profit centers with no medical sense no physicians running them. they were hospitals now they should be called death centers.
It appears that drugs are not being tested enough or not for a long enough period of time. Huh??
