This is not really news. Vietnam Era Veterans in general have a 10% higher Hep-C rate than the normal public. Poor inoculation procedures are part of the problem and what is injected into military personal may be another cause.
The VA never gets enough funding for it's veterans. The Republicans do not like spending money on veterans. (Google Coburn, Mc Cain, Dole, and check VoteVets.org)
It appears that gross medical malpractice was performed by 2 radiologists, a radiation oncologist, a surgeon , and an internal medicine doctor, all of whom are faculty at Medical College of Wisconsin. You might say a comedy of medical errors.
I am wondering why the IG has to be called in to investigate this gross medical errors, Could several docs be involved in a coverup? Veterans sacrifice their lives at the war front and to get this type of care at home is immoral. Loyal VA American docs and workers are losing the war in providing good health care to vets.
These clinic's are contracted by the VA. So need to find out who the contracting company for this clinic is. The clinic's ran here in Indiana are being ran by a very, very, very bad company. If only the VA would listen and clean up some of these company's the the veterans would get alot better service.

Again, the VA tries to hide whatever errors they perpetrated on innocent vets. Truly horrifying.
Recently, I came across a report of an investigation by the VA Inspector General regarding the delay of cancer treatment for a patient at Zablocki VAMC.http://www4.va.gov/oig/54/reports/VAOIG-09-01348-49.pdf
