Well I did get the west nile virus here on the Oregon/Idaho border and it's been no picnic I can tell you. Hopefully there are more and better medications, but when I got it , just a few years ago, there really was no medical alleviation of the symptoms. But I'm alive and several people here died, so I should be grateful. Instead of spending hefty sums on cancer, I wish government sources would target this disease which affects not only humans and horses but certain birds as well. It killed all but two squirrels on my land, and all the crows nearby. My recommendation: have local governments spray the areas where such mosquitos have been detected. I still get "relapses" of some symptoms which medical practitioners doubt or at least they don't know what to recommend. No, there is no cure for this infection.
