I've often theorized that a dog knows when a human has a wound and knows its not supposed to be there. If you've ever owed a dog you know that the dog will always lick any wound that you may have gotten. I suspect that they do this because there are healing properties contained within their saliva. I've also noticed that whenever a dog I've owned licked any wound that I had it seems to heal much faster. In this case the dog knew that the owner had a wound that was not supposed to be there and took the appropriate action to fix the problem.

Hard to know what to say! A shocking treatment. Diabetics need to keep on top of any infections! They could be life threatening.
Good doggie!
