I wonder if all these advocates for Marijuana understand that IDIOTS are just using it for their own enjoyment, NOT medical purposes! Why do you care how people use it? Alcohol kills 50,000 people a year. . .
Weed kills none.
Almost all domestic abuse cases have alcohol involved.
Virtually none have weed.
Weed is one of the least toxic substances known to man, it is physically impossible to OD on it. How many people die from alcohol poisoning every year?
We have 700,000 non-violent criminals in our prisons. We have 25% of the world's prison population and only 4% of the worlds prisoners. It costs $20,000 PER prisoner a year. Is this really something we want to spend $20 billion a year keeping it illegal. Mexico has had beheadings and almost 3000 people die from the drug cartels since 2006.
Prohibition is a failed experiment.
I have alot of questions about this whole movement. So who "prescribes" or otherwise decides that someone qualifies for "medical use status"? If the marijuana posession and use are still illegal by current laws at the State or Federal level, how does opening a dispensory not come under those laws? What does this mean for employers who do pe-employment, "for cause" or random drug screens? Driving under the Influence laws, etc.?
I personally don't care if someone going through chemotherapy, suffering with nausea and vomiting uses marjiuana if it helps. I just don't understand the logistics and legal questions around this whole thing.
Ohhhhh you mean people would actually just puff away and do it for ....ohhhh my freakin' gawd ....FUN?? Ohhhhh no!!!!!!!!!! Dirty filthy dogs! What ???? I am sure you are not one bit familiar with the drug.......I will try to explain it to you............Better still rent a copy of reefer madness...pay close attention to it....and know it is a comedy............It has to be.......
Now just settle back and drink a few harmless glasses of alcohol.....and take it easy....time will teach you it is not going to lead to madness.......
or better still....get yourself a joint....fire it up....and take a puff or two.......in the confines of your own home......snooze off to sleep.......and when you wake up......see how good you feel......and then write another post.........
Honestly it is not a big deal...doctors will prescribe it....and yes there will be people who get it who are not sick...they do now...and it is not anywhere near as dangerous as the narcotics the Doctor prescribes now....It is really a good pain med...it has a sedative effect....but no hang over ...or dependency on it.....it is safe .....and the real problems are in places where it is not legal there are stops....tickets...fines....court...some times jail......just to line the pockets of the legal system....and most go home and smoke theirs when they get home....
People will not be dangerous...or crazy...and they will not kill or rob or do the things people on hard narcotics will do.....so take it easy...........I actually puts most to sleep pretty quick.
I am not a drug user...I am a professional person...very stable...and will not use it ....but for those who will it is so much better then some of what people do now.I am nearly 80 years old and I do want it available in the event that I should need it one day.......
This is very similar to the several drugs discovered after recreational use to become mainstays in medicine...Either being one of them...........it save many many lives......
This is just the beginning. Doctors will eventually prescribe it to everyone because it really helps just about every ailment there is. It will eventually be completely legal and after all the problems are ironed out people will wonder what all the fuss was about in the first place! I cant wait!
