I think the key term used in the article is "Conservative". I am so sick and tried of the Right wingers telling people how to live their lives. The last time I checked, we live in a free country with free thinkers who have the soul right to live their lives the way they want and have the soul right to choose what they want to do to their own bodies. Thanks to the religious right wing nut bags in this country they have destroyed the Constitution and have done nothing but bring this country down by giving tax breaks to the rich, limited the rights of the poor, destroyed the middle class, given us wars because of nothing but greed and oil, and has perpetuated a useless, spectacularly failed Drug War that has destroyed lives. Sure there are some Democrats that have also done their share of the damage. But from my Independent political stand point I see more Conservative Republicans who are guilty of the crimes against the American Way. Can you feel my rage? When is the insanity going to stop?! And to those of you who are conservative and have Republican values and you are in favor in ending the drug war...you are a rare breed. And I thank you. It's just that I can't stand it when someone else thinks they have the right (and duty) to tell other people how they should live, think, and believe. I equate the Christians in this country to the radicals that are so hell bent on destroying us. Really! No kidding. Look...I'm all for freedom of religion in this great, free country that we live in. But, for crying out loud, LEAVE IT TO YOURSELF!

Once again, the Christian right focusing on all the wrong things. Put your good Christian 'ethics' & energy into creating jobs, raising the education levels and standards of the less fortunate and supporting the right of people to think for themselves. Some lady commented that now she has to explain to little Johnny what the dispensory is and that's some sort of problem....Why not start with the truth. Creating a bubble around your children and NOT telling them everything doesnt make them safe....it just makes them ignorant.

It's simple economics people. If there is a demand, there will be a supply. Obviously, there is a huge demand. The more you fight it and try to outlaw peoples right to make their own decisions, the more you put the supply into the criminal elements hands. Which btw seems to be one of your main objections. People are going to do what they do regardless of the regulations. At least allow the city (hurting for revenue atm) to tax MJ use and regulate the supply which is why we have dispensories. Prohabition doesn't work people...

To the parents concerned that their children will try drugs, education and truth are your best weapons. I would be far more concerned about giving your children pharmacy prescribed medications, or trying something really dangerous like Meth, heroin or cocaine than shuddering at the posibility that they might try MJ. While I agree and do not advocate the use of any drug or alcohol to a minor not yet capable of making good decisions, pot is the LEAST of your worries.

Trains are dangerous when you stand in front of one, knives are dangeous at the pointy end and the sharp edge. Because of education you know not to (and how not to) hurt yourself. All we can do is EDUCATE people about the REAL risks and consequences. Beyond that, it's FREEDOM of Choice that dictates what follows. Quit wasting time fighting the effect and not the cause. If you have a logical argument, people will listen!
