It sounds like a good idea on the surface. I would like to know if I carried any advantageous or deleterious genes. On the other hand, if the information on each individual were acquired by insurance companies, it could allow them to pick who they would insure and not insure or at least charge higher rates on some people. It could even be extended to relatives or used in a court of law. I don't understand John T's comment however.
