If they want to increase production of camel milk, they can feed them with Bovine Somatotropin. That will boost the production of milk and they can make more money.
That's true, I was thinking the same thing...maybe it's just that the craziest, most ignorant Americans are the ones who spend all their time writing on discussion sites like these...
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing and then I read 72Impala's five other comments. Truth, don't you have some of your own farts to smell you pretentious prick. I don't know if you get the news, but Arab countries have a perception problem. Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Iraq...
Camel milk will never catch on except for elite jackasses, like truth, who want to show everyone how in touch they are with the world.
I wonder if other cultures have posts like these whenever they read about Americans doing whatever we do. For example, do the Japanese comment threads get into angry rants against Baptists every time there's an article about Marlboro or Coca Cola? Do they quote the Mormon bible at each other and discuss the goings on of the Amish, Catholics or Jehovah's Witnesses? It would be hilarious if they accused each other of being Presbyterian for eating at McDonalds, blaming their country's problems on things like that!
This article was about alternative milk. MILK! The first comment was about Muslims and terrorists, and we can't understand why the rest of the world thinks we're all a bunch of idiots.
Berecca you can have a look at "Japan Today". It is an English language Japanese news service on the internet. You will find the discussions are more sensible and civilised than Newsvine. But then the Japanese are far better educated and much more peaceful and civilised people than Americans.
Eeeek, for God's sakes, learn some grammar, learn how to use punctuation, and take a Spelling class!! You are not a very good advertisement for the point you are trying to make (whatever that is), I can't figure out if you just never went to a proper school, or you just don't know how to type...really forgive me for saying this, but you sound like The Last of The Beverly Hillbillies...lol
Mr. Ali, I tried to set "Iggie" straight by pointing out his ignorance as revealed in his atrocious grammer, hideous attempts at punctuation, and his horrifying misspelling of common words. I don't know if he is just unschooled, or just a plain dim-wit...at any rate, don't pay him any mind, his nasty hateful words don't mean anything, because they are the words of a total fool.
Land-animals who have flowing blood in them and survive on grass and leaves, and do not prey on other animals (i.e. non-predatory terrestrial animals) are all considered Halal. This includes camel, cow, goat, buffalo, sheep, deer, etc. However, there is a slight difference of opinion within the Hanafi School with regards to the consumption of horse-meat. Also, a donkey is exempted from this general ruling, in that its meat in considered Haram (forbidden) for consumption.
Mompantero: As to your first point, pigs can indeed be predatory of other animals. The greatest current danger to the echidna, one of the native animals of Australia, is feral pigs. They can move much faster than the small echidna and if they catch one will crunch it down like a pretzel.
As for the rest of your post, it is absurd, nonsequitur and completely irrational.
i encourage them to continue this project which is promising.when people hear that camel milk is healthy they will consume it even if it's disgusting...especially in Japan!
camel's meat is delicious especially if you cook it according to the Moroccan cuisine!
I don't see how one milk could be considered disgusting when compared to any other milk. Europeans and nationalities that developed largely out of European cultures consume the milk of cows, goats and sheep. I don't see camel milk as being any different.
If you want disgusting, think about blue cheese: It is milk that has been curdled and deliberately infected with mould and allowed to partially decompose before being consumed. Every time I enjoy blue cheese I think how some cultures would consider it to be totally revolting. Mouldy food? Who in their right mind would eat that? LOL!
Considering how well-fed the Europeans already are, how about shipping some of that stuff to Pakistan. They're starving and need all the nutrition they can get.
@ gloria fabiaschi They said Soy MIlk was disgusting too and now it is sold all over the world and yes one must develope a taste for it just like everything else. The one good thing about it is that if you do not like it or the idea of it, you do not have to drink it. It will be jsut like every other item in the grocery store. You like it, you buy it. You don't like it, you leave it. FAIR ENOUGH?
I understand camel wizz is used to wash hair; per the Quran it couldn't be dirtier than the milk. I mean the entire camel is dirty according to Muslim specs. Do you think we could be on the brink of a new bottled shampoo and conditioner?
Gee, Dave why is that? From what I've seen all you appear to be able to manage are derogatory quips. Perhaps you are afraid that you are on the losing side. FYI, what I've stated is absolute truth except for marketing such a product. Some Bedouins wash their hair in camel urine; fact.
Camel milk is good. I had it several times during tours in the Middle East. It seems to me a little richer and creamier than cows milk.
Different cultures have different tastes. Some things we Americans like are considered pretty disgusting in other cultures, and vice versa. It has nothing to do with religion. There are only a couple of adult comments on this thread so far. Maybe it can continue after the kiddies go to bed.
The life span of a camel is twice that of the cow and is already eaten in some cultures. I wonder about the feed demands of the camel and vulnerability to disease? Cost effectiveness could be a factor in commercial growth of camels as a milk and meat source.
Ignorance is thiggest enemy to humans. It is a sign of stupidity and ignorance to judge something without thinking about it or trying it. If you eat and enjoy meat from the felthiest animal (pigs) that eat their own fecis you should not be disgusted of anything.
Fair mided, I would suggest that you learn about something before you try to talk about it.
Pigs are very clean animals. In fact, pigs are some of the cleanest animals around. They like to maintain separate eating sleeping and defecation areas. When given the room and freedom to decide, pigs choose to be clean and tidy.
This report opens appetites for stupid remarks from the "REDNECKS' and the "IGNORANT LOW CLASS" who,due to lack of respect to other humans, choose to make remarks that can only show their ignorance at the widest ranges.
i am a non believer in any organized religion because it only teaches hate, not tolerance, honesty, or decency. only how to be jerks & liers comes from organized , scare the b'Jesus out of people, religion. ignorance is not bliss but blindness. educate yourselfs and you may change your mind about the magical. mythical, sky guy.
I wonder if we wil see camel farms here in Washington? Hmm I wonder how much a baby camel would cost.? Perhaps we wil see camel meat on the market too..
Sounds good to me. I'd be willing to try it. I tried goats milk once, and could not stand the way it tasted, so I offered it to my cat, who also refused it. But I think marketing camel's milk is a good idea, especially if they find out that it's good for people who are lactose intolerant, and has other good qualities cow's milk doesn't have.
Keep up the good progress.
Keep up the good progress.
I'll have some camel cream and sugar in my coffee, please.
One hump or two?
gary- thank you for the good laugh!
Tee hee hee!
lol
Al Bin Laden Elsie......the cow. 60 miles per gallon in dry heat............................
Well all I can say is: Mooooooooove over Molly!
If they want to increase production of camel milk, they can feed them with Bovine Somatotropin. That will boost the production of milk and they can make more money.
No it's better not to add BST. It's not good for our health or the camels or cows. Greed can ruin what is good.
OMG I want some camel milk!
YES! Me, too. I'd love to try it.
Next up? Camel cheese & ice cream.
its amazing how ignorant many Americans are, the article is about camel milk why do americans tie everything back to terrorist or bin laden or islam.
That's true, I was thinking the same thing...maybe it's just that the craziest, most ignorant Americans are the ones who spend all their time writing on discussion sites like these...

All the holy prophet in divine religions has use goat, beef, camel, sheep, lamb, no pigs read your holy books before your comment.

When were you last attacked by a predatory pig? Oh, I forgot about the radical Islamists and Taliban that are predatory pigs.

I would like to try it but I love cow's milk. I am glad we are using different foods to help feed
the world's starving people but the Saudi's will have high prices.

Can't wait to see camel roping at the next rodeo.
I won't be drinking that crap. Bad enough we give these backward pedophiles our money for their oil.
Dude, you've got issues...aside from the fact that you are a misguided moron!
Camel meat taste so yummy and so is the milk! Yummy yummy in the tummy!
I LOVE it...New world Order supplier of Camel Milk...Lucky YOU!!!

you can't judge what the milk or meat taste like until you try it not everybody eat the same

agree 100%, some people just spew thier inane comments out of racism

Here is a link that you should read if you are able, http://www.gan.ca/animals/pigs.en.html
I think you will find that pigs have a higher IQ than you also...
like your comment, look what piggs eat, and how much the american people eat of it.
