Actually, no Tyson does not own this company. You may want to check your facts before posting things like this. Big companies like Tyson have people that do nothing but search the internet for the company name and they do charge people with libel where appropriate.

As far as the article goes, these types of problems are not limited to the US. In fact the US food systems is far safer than most other nations. The FDA could be doing a better job than they are, but for the most part, our food supply is safe.

Europes food supply is much safer, they won't eat GMO foods.

Patrick - You can debate GMO food all you want. That is not a food safety issue in my mind. Food safety deals with freedom from contamination, both chemical and biological. In that sense, our food system is very safe compared to many other countries.

However as a consumer I think I have the right to know when I am eating adulterated food but that would probably infringe on the company's frredom to use me and the rest of the American people as guinea pigs. When I hear about how their profits have greater value than the health of our citizens or our right to speak our concerns. So apparrently we should develop a "Let the buyer beware" mindset in regards to our sustainance.

Monsanto is a CHEMICAL COMPANY who are the makers of Agent Orange, DDT and RoundUp, and they now "create" and patent our "food" (70% of US corn harvest and 50% of US soya harvest is genetically modified). GMO produce has been genetically modified with a "KILL SWITCH" so that the seed they produce are DEAD! This is done so that the farmers must come back to Monsanto every year for more seed. This is not supposition, it is fact! Monsanto does not deny it. On the contrary, it is their business model.

The FDA, which is comprised of a bunch of ex-Monsanto executives and lawyers, decided that no outside testing of GMOs was necessary because Monsanto did their own testing (talk about the fox guarding the henhouse!), and the FDA also decided that labeling of GMOs was also unnecessary.

The result? We're eating "Frankenfood" created by a chemical company (whose chemical products have caused harm and death to thousands of people), and we're not even told about it.
