This "lady" is a joke! Rarely voted her entire "adult life", but she wants to be Govenor. Imagine what good she would have done with her $102 million. How can anyone vote for this joke? This country is going down-hill thanks to the likes of her. Lincoln is weeping.
I'm not a californian and know nothing of whitman's views, however, perhaps she never voted because she never found a candidate that she could get behind. She may have decided that since she couldn't agree with any of the "career" politicians and their issues she may as well run. A politician is supposed to be a voice for the people, since they weren't speaking for her, she should be allowed to speak. If you dont like her don't vote for her. Attacking someone's voting record is low class. Everyone has a RIGHT TO vote not the requirement to vote. The decision to vote and who to vote for if you decide to exercise your right is and always should be a PERSONAL one. My wife and I discuss politics and we agree and we also agree to disagree on some issues. I would never dream of demanding to hear her voting record.
Actually, most of the people who DO vote don't necessarily know anything about who they are voting for, since most vote blindly for a party. Besides, nobody has time for issues any more.. they are all too busy proving their opponents to be bad guys. They have no idea how they are going to vote, they will have to check with their accountant to see who has paid the most for the vote first. The "American" way...
