It's about time. Most of our problems can be attributed to too many people.
Rob - I'm not sure I would agree with your statement but there is another way to look at it. The fewer people born the smaller the future work force. Fewer people paying taxes. Fewer people paying in to social security. Less demand for goods. Seems a bit like a doubled edged sword.
And less need for goods, roads, etc. Less people paying into Social Security but less taking out of it. If we had listened back in the 70's we would only be having two children per couple, max. But I see people of all ethnicity with three or more and another on the way. And this is not a third world country.
Simple math will show you how fast we can overpopulate the globe. Just go 2 x 2 x 2 and on and on and see how quickly the calculator overloads.
Overpopulation (especially in 3rd world countries) is one of our major problems. If it is slowing down that is a good thing. This planet can only support so many people and we are approaching that figure very quickly.
Rob - Thanks for the response. Of course you are correct. Over population is a major concern. I was being flippant when I posted my original remark and never intended for it to be taken seriously. Thanks for the conversation Rob.
