Are you happy you repuglicans? Thanks To You instead of having a Public option that would force these Monster companys to REDUCE RATES, we know have a bastardized plan that the GOP put in. I hope everyone of you Returdicans policy increases the 30 % then lets see the CRYING
I agree that competition would reduce insurance costs but that was ignored by the dems as was Tort Reform, two things that could have reduced costs. Maybe we can repeal it and start again and not go to Cuban stylke socialization which is what Obama wanted anyway.
Competition amongst health insurance companies rarely causes rates to drop and if they do then you can bet that your coverage drops even more. Before you put down Cuban health care you should know that they have longer life expectancies than us, and why don't you bring up France, Germany, England, or Canada when you try to bash socialized medicine?
If Reid and Pelosi had considered nationalizing Insurance Companies to reduce insurance rates (along with Tort Reform) we'd be in a better place with our HealthCare costs. It said in the article that Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield and Health Net provide 90% of the insurance in California. Of course, they can raise the rates...they have no competition. Please nationalize insurance companies in order to raise the competition and the American people can continue to have good Healthcare. Turn it over to the government and we have a mess on our hands... (i.e. post office and social security - bankrupted??) Please take note the only way the government can pay for health coverage is with our money...the government doesn't make money they pay for programs with our money....
Thank goodness for Obama care! Now we can start paying less and the insurance companies can't raise the rates. No health care rationing too. Nothing in the Obama care was intended to reduce rates. Now that it has passed as Pelosi said now we can see what's in it. Reduction of Medicare that they push to one side but still has to be paid by the taxpayer. What a joke! Why did the dems ignore republican requests to add Tort reform to the bill? That was the only thing that would reduce any medical costs. But a reduction of medical cost was never part of Obama agenda, only redistribution of wealth.

Health insurance premiums are going up. Medicare reimbursement rates to providers are going down. Doesn't anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
