That's one way to make sure marijuana is legalized. The union will make it so. Too bad the union is involved though. As in ALL unions, they do nothing but make ridiculous pension promises then have the government bail them out with taxpayer's money to only cause Americans to have to pay more for the products they produce.
well its to bad the union is involved now. prices will be affected and quality wont be as large an issue anymore. the union will help to get it legalized but come on now 17 an hour is plenty to tend a weed farm.
Collective bargaining for weed farmers; now I've heard everything! I really couldn't care less either way, but $17.00/ hour equals 35k/ year; $25/ hour is $52k/ year roughly without taxes. If the product is illegal, do they pay taxes for what they get paid? is 35k an average weed pickers' salary? Where does one apply to become a weed picker? So many questions...
"...But it's still unclear how the Teamsters will safeguard the rights of members who do work that's considered a federal crime."
Oh come on, this is right up the Teamsters alley, it's the area in which they excell. I see this as a win-win match made in heaven for the stoners and the Teamsters.
Hi! I have always been a supporter of medical marijuana and although things are still in the dark ages or stil in prohibition, I still vote for and pray for a change. It is a plant, an herb that has been proven for many years that it has medicinal qualities. It is a
natural substance that has helped the pain and nausea of many cancer patients and various other conditions as well. I am always thrilled to see any progress in this faction and although I don't go door to door to preach or invade other people in their homes, I appreciate any strives toward this cause and appreciate this opportunity. And people are in need of jobs: in need of survival and this is a positive way. Try to get a job at a drug/chemical company and fill our bodies with recalled substances that do often harm to our bodies. I just think this is a refreshing approach to help us help ourselves to more job opportunities.I love this so much! Let's maintain a positive on this one, okay?
This just goes to show, where there are workers, there should be a union! And with the Teamsters Union, they are known for fighting for workers rights! These workers have made a wise decision!
It goes to show, where there are workers, there must be a union! And the Teamsters are known for fighting for workers rights so I believe it was a wise decision to seek out and organize with the Teamsters Union!
Our teamster members operating the hand shovel, paver, and asphalt roller have a billable of $48.00 per hour.
None of this group completed high school, served in military, or can pass the test. Yet, they have a standard of living equal to the engineers, supervisors, etc.
