How about the world's religious leaders taking their heads out of the a==es and tell women they have the RIGHT to use birth control, no the OBLIGATION to use birth control, if they don't have access to and can afford medical care, food and housing for a child. How about the world's leaders, religious and political, telling men to keep the dicks in their pants until and unless they can provide,at their own expense, medical care, food and housing for a child. And that includes the USA. I'd like to start a world-wide campaign called "YOU DIDN'T ASK MY PERMISSION TO HAVE SEX SO HOW DARE YOU DEMAND MY MONEY"
I think sterilization should be provided for free, no questions asked, to anyone (both males and females) over 18 years of age who asks for it. When my aunt was 25, she asked her doctor if she could get her tubes tied--she had been diagnosed with diabetes, and did not want to deal with the potential health problems she could have if she became pregnant. Her husband did not want kids, either--but the doctor said he would not do it on women who were under thirty and did not have at least two kids. Turns out he was affiliated with Catholic hospital--and he was abiding by their policies. She tried finding a different doctor who would take her insurance with no luck, so she and her husband finally had to pay for it themselves, out of pocket, to a doctor in another state.
How about controlling the number of kids born? Why should the rest of us be forced to support children who should not have been born in the first place? If you cannot support that child...DONOT have it!
How about we spend a little of that encouraging women who cannot take care of themselves to avoid having children?
