Navy offers sailors online help to quit addictions?
This online help is a great help to our service men and women. In addition to this particular program, may I suggest another "Web site" for additional assistance. It's called www.settingcaptivesfree.com. This site is Bible-based and Christ-centered. Yes, I know it might disagree with the implications of mixing religion and government stuff. If that were the case, however, then why even have chaplins?
Bottom line dear friends is this, why not lesson your chaplins' load and simply give the above site an honest chance? The addictions covered include: substance abuse [alcohol and/or drugs], pornography [sexual impurity], gambling, homosexuality, smoking, eating disorders, etc. Believe me, I have been there myself with an addiction. Having completed one of setting captives free courses... I've never regretted it; that's why I highly recommend it. Nobody is twisting your arm here...please, just check it out for yourselves. Guaranteed, you want the challenge? Then go for it, my friends...
Would be better if the site offered anonymous access and assistance so sailors wouldn't fear career discrimmination or retribution.
There could be a secure portal where you enter your social security number to verify your military benefits, but that site would then anonymously forward you to your choice of help programs.
